I have been at Batesburg-Leesville Animal Hospital since graduation from Auburn Veterinary School in 2002. In 2008, I became the clinic owner. My vision for the clinic is to provide high-quality care with a small town feel. Gentle handling and being in tune with the animals allows me to be a success. I enjoy tough cases that challenge my mind and skills. This might be a case I work with for many years- an older cat with heart and kidney disease, for example. This type of case involves a lot of fine-tuning of treatment and close communication with the owner providing the pet with a longer and better quality of life. On the other hand, I like rapidly emergent cases that come to me critically ill and require thinking on my feet and quick action to save the pet’s life. A balance between these two types of cases makes the job enjoyable. I have several cats at the clinic and at home that take up a lot of my free time. You will see many of them on our Facebook page.
